Thank you to all who came to the Tokyo GitHub Meetup, held on April 30 at the
GMO Yours Synergy Cafe. The event was organized by NRI (Nomura Research Institute). It was great to see so many Japanese developers passionate about using this revolutionary new tool for creating and sharing code.

Our featured speaker, Phil Haack from GitHub HQ, gave a very informative and entertaining presentation on the fundamentals of GitHub.

If you're not yet familiar with GitHub, it is a powerful collaboration, review, and code management tool for open source and private development projects. In just a few short years, GitHub has become the best place to share code with friends, co-workers, classmates, and complete strangers. Over three million people use GitHub to build amazing things together.
See GitHub.com to learn more.

After the meetup, those who had time joined the after party at a nearby Izakaya (Japanese-style pub) for more networking and discussion on how to make and share awesome projects with GitHub.
