Cloud-Based Platform Powers San Francisco’s New Site

San Francisco is fast on its way to becoming the world's first 2.0 city. Following the launch of sfCITI in January and 2012 Innovation Portfolio in February is this month's release of data.SFgov.org. The new website is a more robust, technologically sound, cloud-based open data site that can drive innovation by adopting social citizen interfaces and providing access to information. Some of the new site features include:

• Expanded access to information
• Easy-to-use, non-technical interface
• Automatic full-text indexing
• Automatic API access to every data set
