In the recently held Streaming Media West Conference in Los Angeles, the company’s president and CEO, Mr. Peter Csathy was interviewed about their latest desktop video application, Squeeze 8. Mr. Csathy said that in focusing on quality, Squeeze 8′s notable characteristic is its ability to strategically start to tie into other products and taking video transcoding from behind-the-firewall to cloud solutions, which fits perfectly into their vision as the first enterprise-grade, cloud-based video transcoding service.
Now considered as an industry leader, Sorenson Media serves over 70 Fortune 100 companies and two-thirds of major broadcasters. Csathy mentioned that in the course of the next three years, there will be gradual transformation as majority of workflows will be going into the cloud and benefits are slowly being realized:
