GMO Cloud Releases APIs for Public Cloud Service
New APIs allows users to connect to GMO Public Cloud management systems and operation tools

GMO Internet Group company, GMO Cloud America Inc, today releases a series of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for highly acclaimed public cloud service, GMO Cloud Public.
The series of nine GMO Cloud Public APIs enables the execution of cloud management functions from other programs without having to access the control panel.
GMO Cloud CTO, Minoru Karasawa, said, “We decided to release the APIs upon receiving many requests from GMO Cloud Public users. The APIs will allow our customers to construct systems for automated operation and integrated management of multiple systems, improving ease of use and efficiency. API development will continue to be one of our core efforts to provide a superior public cloud IaaS that supports our customers' business growth.”
With GMO Cloud Public APIs, users can link operation tools to web services or develop their own tools to:
- 1. Reduce management overhead by connecting to automated systems for starting, stopping, and restarting virtual machines.
- 2. Integrate the management of multiple systems running in the cloud by linking with system operation tools.
- 3. Automatically scale disk space by connecting to web services running in GMO Cloud Public.
- 4. Allocate and control resources as needed for cost effective operation.
GMO Cloud Public Functions 
- 1. Virtual Machine - Create, construct virtual machines, start-up, stop, and restart virtual machines, adjust virtual machine resources, migrate virtual machines, acquire virtual machine information
- 2. Firewall - Configure, delete firewalls, acquire firewall information
- 3. Load balancer - Start-up, delete load balancers, acquire load balancer information, migrate load balancers
- 4. User Information - Acquire user information
- 5. Backup - Create backups, convert backups into templates
- 6. Network - Display network list, acquire networks, change network interfaces
- 7. Templates - Acquire template list, delete templates
- 8. Disk - Acquire disk information, change disks
- 9. IP address - Acquire IP addresses, acquire IP address information, remove IP addresses associations, release IP addresses
