Single Cloud Closure Notice for US Cloud
This serves as announcement that GMO Cloud America Inc. has decided to discontinue the US cloud server, due to the low demand for this particular cloud. The remaining Japan, Japan-Green, and Malaysian clouds will remain untouched.
- Service Affected Only the US cloud.
Servers running on the US cloud will need to be migrated. - Last date for new orders
March 31, 2015 6:00PM (Japan Standard Time) / March 31, 2015 2:00 AM (USA Pacific Time) Orders for new accounts cannot be accepted after this date. Existing customer accounts remain unaffected.
- End date for US Cloud services
May 31, 2015 (Japan Standard Time) / May 31, 2015 (USA Pacific Time)
Just the US cloud will be shut down.
Please be informed that before May 31, 2015, you need to take a backup of all your data, migrate to other services, and change any DNS setting(s).
What needs to be done for servers on the US cloud:
As templates and backups cannot be downloaded, you will need to transfer the server(s) data and settings to another server and/or your computer. This will take time to transfer, so we suggest starting the process as soon as possible.
For DNS settings changes, remember that it can take up to 24 hours for the change to propagate through the internet.
